ROD & GUN CLUB POSTINGS
Membership drive under way
By Jodi Hubacz

The Brookfield Rod & Gun Club’s monthly meeting will be held on Feb. 9 at 7 p.m. at the clubhouse. Only our members’ input and ideas will make our club everything it can be. Our yearly membership drive is in full swing, and many still have not renewed their expired memberships. Your membership allows you to participate in many club functions and activities, such as the shooting range, fishing derbies, meat raffles, special classes, etc. For all of you who are interested in joining, now is the perfect time! Membership fees are only $25 for a single membership and $40 for a family. Come down today and fill out your application with the bartender, and I hope to see you down there soon!!

Turkey Shoots
Our weekly turkey shoots are held every Sunday from 10 a.m. to noon. There are various targets and prizes for each round, and it is a great time to keep your aim true.

Valentine’s Dinner Dance
The Club will be holding a Valentine’s Day Spaghetti Dinner & Dance on Saturday, Feb. 11, from 6 p.m. to midnight. Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m., and entertainment will follow. Tickets are available at the Club and are $8 single, $15 couple. Hurry down because tickets will only be on sale through Feb. 5 and will NOT be available at the door. Come alone and hopefully be struck by cupid, or bring the one you love for a “Lady and the Tramp” moment!!

Derby TBD
Depending on when this warm shot of weather we are experiencing leaves us is when we will schedule our ice fishing derby on North Pond. Tune in to our local public access channel to stay updated on a date or stop into the club for more updated information.

New Club Hours
Our Club hours have changed a little. Please note that the club is always open during these hours, however if it is busy, we stay open later. Stop in after work or before your night on the town and say hi Wednesday 3-6 p.m., Thursday 3-6 p.m., Friday 3-9 p.m., Saturday 3-6 p.m., Sunday 10 a.m.-3 p.m., closed Monday and Tuesday.

Rent the Clubhouse
If you’re looking for a local place to hold an upcoming function, consider renting out the Clubhouse or the outside pavilion. Weddings, anniversaries, birthday parties, reunions, fundraisers, etc have all been held here and with great success. Call the club for rental rates and more information.
