RECREATION CORNER
Help keep fields clean, safe
By Denise Senosk

With only a handful of help for Clean Up Day at Lewis Field, we were able to set up the snack shack and prep the fields. Thank you to those individuals who made it all look so good. Jim Mulhern volunteered his time and equipment to clean up all the brush. John Washburn continues to do a great job keeping the fields mowed. We would, however, like to ask anyone using the basketball courts to please clean up after yourself. Broken glass and trash have been scattered about. Please use the barrels. We would like to thank the Highway Department in aiding us with trash removal.

The fields are extremely busy. Please reduce your speed when entering the recreation area.

BASEBALL/SOFTBALL
The season is in full force and so far no snags. Parents, please let the coaches do their job. They are volunteers, and this is an instructional league. Let’s have fun! Problems or concerns should be directed Dave Proulx at 867-5149.

SNACK SHACK
Volunteers are needed Monday through Thursday and Sundays from 1 to 3 p.m. Please contact Denise Senosk at 508-344-0540 to sign up.

PAVILION
We are excited to announce the progress on the pavilion. For those of you who have not had the opportunity to stop by the field, you should. You will be pleasantly surprised. The volunteer members of the Recreation Committee and a few dedicated helpers have really pulled it all together. To Keith Law, Doug Brown, Kerry and Kyle Brenner, Joel Brothers, Dave Proulx, Lance Perry, Tim Hubach, Dave Terry, Andy Robinson, Craig Parker and the list goes on, thank you for all your hard work. The Pavilion looks great.

FOXWOODS
May 14th was another fun trip. With six seats shy of a full bus, off we went. Our trip consisted of a few laughs on the ride down, from Kork the comedian, a few hours of wrestling with "the one-armed bandits," and a pre-selected movie from our friendly bus driver on the ride home that ended our night. Another trip will be planned, date to be announced.
