RECREATION CORNER
Basketball
season comes to an end
By Denise Senosk
Once again, thank you to all who helped to make this another successful
season. We will be planning a banquet for the kids. Please watch
for information in your children’s back packs.
BASEBALL/SOFTBALL—Registrations
have been held, and teams have been formed. Indoor practices have
started at the Elementary School gym. Indoor practices are very
busy. Siblings will not be allowed in the gym during practices.
The coaches are only responsible for their team members. Parents,
please help us to make things run smoothly. Anyone with any questions
should please call Dave Proulx at 508-867-5149. We will be looking
for umpires and will hopefully be running a clinic. More information
will follow.
LEWIS
FIELD—Spring Clean-Up Day is Saturday, April 23.
We will start at 7 a.m. and stay until our jobs are complete.
Please join us to get these fields ready. Our annual Baseball/Softball
Jamboree will be held on Saturday, April 30 in Holland. Game times
will be announced.
ICE
CATS—Game time is Sunday, April 17 at 4:05 p.m.
The final registration night will be held 7-8 p.m. on Monday,
April 4 at the Town Hall. Scratch, the Ice Cats mascot, will be
visiting the Elementary School during lunchtime on the Friday
before game day.
FOXWOODS—Another
trip is being planned for May 14, leaving Brookfield Elementary
School at 4:30 p.m. The cost is $25 per person and includes bus
ride, free buffet or $10 meal ticket, $10 match play or a $10
Keno. Please call Denise Senosk at 508-867-6406 to reserve your
seat.
COACHES
BANQUET—This was a great success, and a great time
was had by all. Thank you to the Rod & Gun Club for the use
of the hall, and to Lisa Caron for another fun year with Karaoke
and DJ services. Hope to see more of you next year.
