Holiday decorating contest winners announced

Judging for the Holiday House Decorating Contest took place on December 18th, and the winners are:

Traditional
First Place (tie): Karen Seremet of 88 Webber Road and Bill Lytle of 6 W. Brookfield Road
Second Place: Beth and Michael Paul of 161 Rice Corner Road

Best Lights
First Place: Bill Lytle
Second Place: Joyce and Ed Juda of 76 Town Farm Road

Doorway
First Place: Beth and Matthew Simmons of 4 West Main St.
Second Place: Karen Seremet

Interior
First Place (tie): Beth and Michael Paul and Karen Seremet
Second Place: Beverly Lund of Pine Lane

Each entry in each category was ranked by each judge on a scale of 1 to 3. The marks were then tallied, and the best two scores in each category received prizes. In some cases, more than one entry received the same score, thus the ties for first place for Traditional and Interior. All of the entries were excellent, and the judges thoroughly enjoyed viewing the decorations and meeting many of the contestants.
