Jeppson Fund grants $6,700 to Brookfield projects

Ron Couture, chairman of the Brookfield Historical Commission, and John McDavitt, Cemetery Commissioner, accept a $3,500 check from Joelle Kanshepolsky of the Greater Worcester Community Foundation. The money will be used toward the $25,000 match goal for the Cemetery’s Preservation Fund. To date, over $8,500 has been donated. The Jeppson Memorial Fund for Brookfield, a component fund of the Greater Worcester Community Foundation, has made five grant awards totaling $6,759 to support local projects in the Town of Brookfield. Grants range in size from $200 to $3,500, including support to print the Brookfield Citizen, restoring and preserving the historic arched gate entryway to Brookfield Cemetery and helping with entertainment costs at the annual Thanksgiving Dinner event hosted by the Brookfield Senior Citizens Club.
