Center Stage gives its regards to Broadway
By Jeanne Lytle

A wacky cast of actors has begun rehearsing for Center Stage Community Theatre's fall production of "Bed, Breakfast, and Broadway." It's a cute little play about a bed and breakfast owner, Marge Cunningham (Janice Zielinski), who also has written a play "You Only Die Twice" for her local community theater. When she receives word that a famous Broadway producer (Joe Dixon) is coming to stay at the bed and breakfast on the opening night of her show, she notifies the cast and they plan to try their best to perform a perfect show. There is confusion, however, when an overwrought air traffic controller (Bryan Plumb), who desperately needs a break, and his wife (Lois O'Leary) are mistaken for the producer and his wife and the producer is mistaken for the temporary custodial help (Pam Achilles).

The rest of the cast includes Sally (Danielle Joyce), Jack (James Joyce), Fred (Laszlo Sinko), and Phil Peirce as John Cunningham. The play was written by Arlen Daleske and Dennis Reece and is directed by Jeanne Lytle.

It will be performed in the Brookfield Town Hall ballroom on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 21 and 22 at 7:30 p.m. There will be a $5 admission charge at the door. You may contact Jeanne Lytle for more information at 508-867-6705.
