Princeton salutatorian pursues military service

Graham Phillips of Brookfield, son of Robert Phillips, served as Princeton University’s salutatorian at his college commencement May 31. Ranked seventh in his class, Phillips continued Princeton tradition by delivering the speech in Latin. A history major, Phillips wrote his senior thesis on the development of tanks in the U.S. Army. He decided to enlist in the Army last October and reports to Fort Knox in July. Phillips is considering a career in the military or as a high school teacher in a small town like Brookfield.
