LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

A good race

To Mr. James Allen:

Please accept my sincerest congratulations on your victory in the race for selectman. The sentiments of my personal call to you the day before the election were echoed tonight in my congratulatory phone call. Best wishes! You should be proud of the support you’ve received from the people for this important position. I wish you only good as you take on this responsibility.

To the Citizens of Brookfield:

As first timers, my family and I found this campaign to be all the education, stress and heat for which small town politics are notorious. It does make one wonder: “Why would anyone want to do this?”

I threw my hat into the ring hoping to contribute my strengths and make a genuine difference in the Town of Brookfield. I knew that I was up against two very well known and respected opponents.
To those who voted for me, and the friends and family who supported my attempt; my heartfelt gratitude. I really could not have tried this without you.

I pledge to follow through on my intentions through other avenues. As John Adams said: “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed, ordinary folks can change the world; indeed it’s the only thing that ever has.”

Sincerely,
Frank Leo

Thanks for caring

To My Brookfield Family:

I can't even begin to express the heartfelt gratitude my children and I have to share with all of you. You are all amazing. We are completely blessed to have such caring friends. Recent events in our lives had put us in a tough situation. But with the help of many members of this wonderful community and a bit of faith, we are doing just fine.

Thank you all for everything!!!
Denise, Dianna and John
