February TipTop Country Store events set

TipTop Country Store at 8 Central St., Brookfield, has a busy month of events planned in February.

Alternative SuperBowl Party
Sunday, Feb. 6, 3-7 p.m.

For adults or children with adults. Brookfield Championship Dominoes and Tri-ominoes. Brookfield Championship Scrabble. Brookfield Championship Chinese Checkers. Sudden Death Parcheesee. Don't-Stop-Laughing Scattegories. You think the fun part of the SuperBowl is the commercials? We will have a camera set up so that you can make your own commercial. Send a message to a friend over the Internet. Best performances will be put on Channel 13 (Brookfield Public Access Channel.

Simplify Afternoon
Thursdays, beginning Feb. 10, 2-2:45 p.m.

Discussion group based on the best-selling book, Your Money or Your Life. (There is a copy att he store if you'd like to take a look, but you don't have to read the book to join in.) The basic idea is conscious living and making sure you are spending your money and your time on things that truly matter to you. Or as www.simpleliving.net puts it: Our world is drunk on "more." Your Money or Your Life teaches "enough."

Acoustic Open Mic
Saturday, Feb. 12, 7-10 p.m.

Call us for additional dates in February and March. Greg Afton, our resident musician and nice guy, has been organizing open mic sessions at TipTop since the end of November. Usually every other Satuday. Anyone who would like to be sure to have a turn at the mic, please contact Greg at 867-2133 ahead of time. Otherwise, no advance notice is needed. Free food!

Wellness Night
Wednesdays, starting Feb. 23, 6-7 p.m.

A different guest lecturer every week on once aspect of wellness. Join us for a talk and Q&A on subjects of interest to all of us. Usually an hour long, and we will have wellness products to sample. The moon is waxing, perfect night to get together and enjoy camaraderie.

Remember, TipTop cafe space is community space. If you would like to organize a discussion group on a specific topic, let us know and we'll try to make it happen. Our regular hours are 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday; Saturdays and Sundays, noon to 7 p.m. Very little advance notice needed.
