The
Friends of the Library are preparing for their favorite fundraiser
and patron-preferred Silent Auction, beginning May 1 and ending
June 3. Local artisans, businesses, and the public are invited
to donate items during the month of April to be bid on throughout
the month of May.
Book mobile
The Friends of the Library continue to deliver books on a temporary
or regular schedule every Friday at 3 p.m. Please call the library
for details at 508-867-6339.
Calling all poets
April is National Poetry Month. Patrons of all ages are welcome
to submit their poetry to the library for display.
Online reference
New databases are available from Central Massachusetts Regional
Library System. For 2006, they are subscribing to two Grolier
products: Encyclopedia Americana and Grolier Multimedia Encyclopedia.
The database Science Online from Facts on File replaces Today's
Science. The current menu of online resources now includes 21
separate products. The link to the databases is www.cmrls.org.

April School Vacation Fun
On Tuesday, April 18, drop in anytime between 1 and 8 p.m., weather
permitting, and join us for sidewalk fun — chalk art, hopscotch,
and jump ropes for outdoor activities.
On Wednesday, April 19, from 3 to 5 p.m., take in a Children’s
Movie Matinee, movie title to be announced.
Thursday, April 20, 6-8 p.m. is Teen Movie Night (with snacks).
Movie title to be announced.
On Friday, April 21, All ages welcome to drop in between 3 and
5 p.m. to create, transform, and produce something!
