GOING PLACES at the Public Library this summer is an exploration of eclectic artists, Birds of Prey, reading new authors and Mountains Beyond Mountains. Tuesday, July 5, 6 to 7 p.m. We will kick off the summer reading program with Sidewalk Art. Everyone is invited to help decorate the sidewalk along the Library with chalk and pick up reading logs. Five titles in your reading log by Thursday, Aug. 11 is the ticket for the Friends of the Library-sponsored Ice Cream Social for all reading program participants.

Every Wednesday, July 6 to Aug. 10, we will have a supervised Drop-in Craft program from 3 to 5 p.m. The only exception is Wednesday, July 27 when the Wingmasters will be here with Birds of Prey at 4 p.m.

On Thursday, July 7, from 6 to 8 p.m., families are invited to participate in creating a summer reading banner to hang in the Library. Also:
Thursday, July 14, 6-8 p.m.: Create Paul Klee art.
Thursday, July 21, 6-8 p.m.: Create George Braque art.
Thursday, Aug. 4, 6-8 p.m.: Create Georgia O’Keefe art.
