THE FOLDING CORNER
A Change of the Guard
By Philip Peirce

Phil Peirce

Many thanks to my ever faithful helpers on Dec. 22 who helped me get the last issue on the road: Pauline and Candice Merrick, Vern and Margaret Heipler, Lucy Beeman, and Marguerite Desmond did a wonderful job, as usual. Our next folding party will be Feb. 23, 2005.

This issue of the Citizen celebrates the addition of two very fine and experienced people to the A.P.P.L.E. Seed, Inc. team: Tim and Danielle Kane. Danielle has been our webmaster for the Brookfield Citizen’s site at www.brookfieldcitizen.com. We now welcome her husband, Tim, who joins Danielle in bringing many years of editing experience to us. As such, I will be relaxing my “death grip” on the reigns of the Citizen and letting them take it wherever their creative strategies demand.

This newsletter will remain a “good news” paper, providing our residents with all the news that’s fit to print and with as much information about what is going on in our great community as is provided by the same dedicated people who have contributed their time and efforts so willingly over the past 10 years.

I will continue to keep a finger in the pie, so to speak, as the changes take shape, and I certainly hope that you all will let Tim and Danielle know how well they are doing as the Citizen assumes its new appearance.
