COA NEWS
Council on Aging keeps growing, moving
By Brenda Lague

The mission of the Brookfield Council On Aging is to maintain or improve the quality of life for the senior citizens living in this community.

New Members
The Brookfield COA would like to welcome the following new members to it's board:
Marie Jacques
Barbara Palmer
Linda Peirce
Georgia Trauschke

Special thanks and farewell to Marguerite Desmond, who will be leaving the COA board. Thank you for all your hard work.

Keep Moving
Tai Chi Classes will be offered at the Town Hall from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Tuesdays beginning Sept. 13. The cost is $25 for eight weeks. For more information or to register, call Barbara Clancy at (508) 867-6043. Register early for this fun and popular class!

Partnerships
The COA has partnered with neighboring communities to provide the following services:

Transportation—If you need a ride somewhere, you can call the West Brookfield Senior Center (508) 867-1407. This is a great service for medical appointments. Please call ahead to schedule your ride. There is a small suggested donation which depends on your destination.

Outreach—If you need information, assistance or a referral of any kind, call Barbara Harrington at the North Brookfield Senior Center at (508) 867-0220.
