MONDAY, MARCH 19
The Green Sanctuary Committee of the Brookfield Unitarian Universalist Church plans to join the Religious Witness for the Earth with a moral call for swift, bold, and comprehensive political action to address global warming. We invite everyone who can walk to join in a public pilgrimage to express the moral and spiritual urgency of addressing global warming. People will be walking because stopping climate change is a way to honor the sacredness of God's creation and to recognize our responsibility to future generations and to the poor. It's time for interfaith voices to ring out in defense of creation and our most vulnerable neighbors. Brookfield will be a midpoint on the walk, along Route 9. We will have walkers and will assist site coordinators by hosting break spots for those who are walking. Check out the website at http://www.climatewalk.org.
