Bus Service Changes

Bus service to Brookfield has changed beginning Aug. 27. There are now four daily roundtrips to East Brookfield and Brookfield. Four additional roundtrips on the Route No. 33 bus terminate at Klem’s in Spencer. Mid-day trips to and from the city route through the elder housing complex in Leicester Center. Pick up the No. 33 bus in Worcester opposite City Hall.

Work Training
Offered to Seniors

Operation A.B.L.E. (Ability Based on Long Experience) of Greater Boston is seeking low-income Brookfield residents aged 55 and older to participate in the Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP).

Qualified candidates are asked to Deborah Lipton at (617) 542-4180 ext. 121.

Harrington Health
Office Relocates

The Preventative Health Office at Harrington Memorial Hospital has moved to 34 Oaks Avenue in Southbridge. Oaks Avenue is located on the right just before the hospital, and the office will be on the 3rd floor of Southbridge Family Health Center. Call the hospital main number at 508-765-9771 to be connected to extension 3613.
